After doing a patent sue each other action since last March, Yahoo and Facebook eventually agreed to make peace. Both will form an alliance of advertising.

Two of these Internet companies will apply for a patent cross-licensing and collaboration in the future.

"We are excited to develop a deeper partnership with Facebook. And, I am grateful to Sheryl Sandberg and a team who have worked hard with our team to realize the dynamic of this agreement," Levinsohn said in a press release.

Facebook Chief Operating Officer, Sheryl Sandberg, also had a major role in the negotiations and peace. He argues, the new leader of Yahoo's focus on innovation and can produce a good product for the user. "Together, we will provide a social experience for users while providing a value for marketing," he said.

Patent war between the two started by Yahoo in March. Yahoo feels aggrieved because of violating 10 patents Facebook Yahoo technology that has been registered in the United States (U.S.).

According to Yahoo, Facebook's rapid growth, however, based on the use of social networking technologies have been patented Yahoo. However, of 10 patents in question, most refer to online advertising, including ad placement and access methods. Only two patents related to social media technology.
